BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 5. Canadian Solar Inc. aims to organize its business in Azerbaijan, taking into account the intensive development of the renewable energy sources sector in this republic of the South Caucasus, the technological partner of Canadian Solar Inc. in Azerbaijan Elnur Mustafayev told Trend.
“This world-renowned Canadian corporation is interested in providing world-class services in Azerbaijan concerning green energy,” Mustafayev emphasized.
This corporation was established in Ontario in 2001; it specializes in supplying solar modules, batteries for energy storage, and technological solutions in the renewable energy sector to 160 countries (American continent, Europe, Middle East, and Asia). The company's shares are listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Canadian Solar Inc. has subsidiaries in 23 countries and more than 26 production facilities in the Americas and Asia.
The corporation's products in Azerbaijan (mainly solar panels) are sold by its partner company, Solarwind.
To note, Azerbaijan plans to increase the share of renewables in the country's total energy balance to 35 percent by 2030 and is cooperating with various companies around the world.
