Azerbaijan, Baku, August 21 / Trend G. Veliyev /
Azerbaijani ministries and departments are studying a new 'State program on the development of communication and IT in 2009-2012," the Cabinet told Trend .
A source said that the project is under the final stage of consideration. Afterwards, it will be submitted for approval by the President of Azerbaijan.
The new state program will have an inter-departmental character and include numerous projects on solutions in defined spheres.
The projects will promote the wide-spread introduction of information-communication technology in society, the formation of E-government and the expansion of E-services already provided.
At present, some state departments have already introduced some e-services, simplifying interaction between the population and the state.
At present, businesses can submit e-tax declarations and receive immediate answers to questions on taxes through the Information Resource of the Tax Ministry. Applicants for state service can submit e-application forms and voters can submit their information in the electoral lists, etc.
Such opportunities will increase each year and the population will actively use new, more convenient forms of interaction with state agencies.
