Iran has allocated 3.25 trillion rials (about $77.3 million) for the construction of the Mobarakeh-Sefid Dasht-ShahreKord railway line in the Chahamahal and Bakhtiari Province (western Iran) in the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Director General of Roads and Urban Development Department in the province Hosseinali Maghsoudi said, Trend reports citing Ministry Roads and Urban Development of Iran.
According to the director general, of this, 2.5 trillion rials (about $59.5 million) has been paid so far for the railway line, which was built to connect the center of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province to the Iranian railway network.
“A total of 5 trillion rials (about $119 million) has been spent so far on the construction of this railway line, and more 8 trillion rials (about $190 million) is needed,” he noted.
Reportedly, the length of the Mobarakeh-Sefid Dasht-ShahreKord railway line is 89 kilometers. There are 15 tunnels on this railway line.
