Session of Council of Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan opened in Astana

The session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan opened in Astana today, Kazakhstan Today reported.

According to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Marat Tazhin, the session participants will discuss the questions of harmonization of political initiatives of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

"During today's session we suggest to discuss harmonization of our foreign political initiatives, to define problems on development of bilateral cooperation, and to discuss the agenda of the forthcoming first session of the Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan Intergovernmental Council," the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan informed.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Kadyrbek Sarbayev, said that "Kyrgyzstan is aimed at further strengthening with Kazakhstan of multilateral cooperation in the spirit of allied relations."

The session participants will discuss the questions of bilateral cooperation in trade and economic, hydro-power and cultural-humanitarian areas.
