BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 14. Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund is considering participating in the financing of the HPP construction project in Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports citing the fund's press service.
The Chairman of the Board of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund, Aziz Aliyev, visited the Kulanak HPP construction area in the Naryn Region of Kyrgyzstan. Currently, organizational and technical preparations are underway, infrastructure facilities are being built.
The goal of the project is to cover the shortage of electricity in Kyrgyzstan, the reclamation systems of the Kulanak HPP will increase the area of irrigated agricultural land and create additional jobs in the region.
Meanwhile, the installed capacity of the Kulanak HPP, which is being implemented by Kyrgyzstan's Naryn Production Enterprise, will be 100 MW, with production capacity of 435 million kWh of electricity per year.
