United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will pay a visit to Tajikistan on April 5-6 as part of his tour of Central Asia, the country's Foreign Ministry said Monday, RIA Novosti.
Ban will meet with President Emomali Rakhmon, Foreign Minister Khamrokhon Zarifi and other officials.
The visit is believed to touch upon issues of global and regional security, cooperation under UN and other auspices and environmental security in the region.
Last time the UN chief visited Tajikistan in 2002. Kofi Annan held the post at the time.
