BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. The value of Tajikistan's electricity exports from January through November 2022 increased over the year, Trend reports with reference to asiaplustj.info.
According to statistics, Tajikistan in the first 11 months of this year exported electricity worth more than $103 million, which is an increase of 10.2 percent over the same period in 2021 ($93.6 million).
During the reporting period, the share of electricity in the total exports of the country amounted to 5.2 percent. In November 2022, Tajikistan exported electricity worth over $2.1 million, which is $0.8 million more compared to October this year.
Meanwhile, the main importing countries of Tajik electricity in the 11 months of this year were Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. As reported, Afghanistan buys electricity from Tajikistan at a price of 4.67 cents per 1 kWh, and Uzbekistan - at 2 cents.
