BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 11. Uzbekistan plans to expand the network of service points for electric vehicles,Trend reports via the press service of the Uzbek president.

In this regard, it is planned to install 2,000 charging stations in parking lots, fuel stations and highways in the next two years.

Entrepreneurs who own charging stations will be given the right to sell electricity at their own prices.

On October 10, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of a project to develop the electric vehicle industry and expand the service of electric vehicles.

During the presentation, the management of Uzbekistan’s Uzavtosanoat JSC provided information on the agreements reached and models, the production of which is planned to be mastered. The issues on establishing the production of electric vehicles, expanding the network of charging stations, and localizing components were also discussed.
