TEHRAN, Iran, May.24

Trend:

A total of 30,000 small and big industrial companies have evaluated their safety, health, and environment so far which would be 67 percent of the country's total companies, said the safety manager of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization.

"The organization has a contract with industrial factories that would provide necessary infrastructures," said Homayoun Towfighi, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"After the installment of industrial cities other responsible organizations have little role to implement based on the law," he said.

The organization has defined the Health and Safety Commission (H.S.C) plan for small and average companies in industrial cities in 2016 as part of its responsibilities.

All provinces have trilateral committees that include representatives of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, the health care network, and the Ministry of Labour to utilize all instruments to inspect the function of industrial companies.

So far from more than 45,000 industrial factories in industrial cities across the country, 30,000 have been inspected and evaluated including Movalledan chemical company in Shokuhieh Industrial Town.

"The fire in the chemical company that occurred on May 4 caused injury to four staff and two firefighters and burn two fire trucks and 10 private vehicles. Based on the evaluation there have been 19 flaws in this industrial company that was previously announced in 2019 but only two of the cases were resolved by the company's officials," he said.
