Brazilian president to visit Bolivia, Venezuela

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will visit Bolivia and Venezuela on Jan. 15-16, Brazil's Foreign Ministry announced on Friday, Xinhua reported.

On Jan. 15, Lula will meet Bolivian President Evo Morales in Puerto Suarez, Bolivian city on the eastern border with Brazil, during which he will announce a Brazilian investment on a road construction project in Bolivia's Beni and Cochabamba departments.

The visit, aiming to enhance the good relations between La Paz and Brasilia, will take place 10 days before a referendum called by Morales on ratification of his constitutional reform.

Later in the day, Lula will leave for Caracas for a two-day official visit to Venezuela, where he will announce an agreement on the construction of a steel factory and a refinery established both sides.
