Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi called for the establishment of a joint bank, joint shipping companies, as well as opening credit lines.

Mammadyarov congratulated his counterpart on his appointment.

Today Tehran hosts the eighth meeting of the intergovernmental commission. Co-chairmen of the commission are the two countries' foreign ministers. It is expected to sign several documents on bilateral cooperation as a result of the meeting.

Salehi considers it necessary to create working groups on all the spheres for the development of multilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Salehi said these groups should constantly work and intensify the implementation of various projects.

Salehi also expressed dissatisfaction with the two countries' cooperation in electric-power industry. He hopes for the implementation of new projects in this sphere.
