BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 13. Over the past period, the trilateral cooperation mechanism among Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye has consistently developed and expanded through activities carried out at the levels of parliaments, as well as the ministries of foreign affairs and defense, said Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Trend reports.
In her address during the Third Trilateral Meeting of the Speakers of the Parliaments of Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye, Gafarova noted that the trilateral meeting between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Türkiye and the prime minister of Pakistan held in Astana in July 2024, as well as the Trilateral Summit held in the liberated city of Lachin in May this year, elevated this mechanism to a qualitatively new stage.
Gafarova emphasized that these meetings reflected the determination of the brotherly countries to further strengthen unity and solidarity and to develop trilateral cooperation in political, economic, trade, transport, energy, defense, and humanitarian fields.
“The Trilateral Meeting of the Speakers held today is also an expression of our determination to enhance parliamentary support for cooperation among our brotherly nations,” she said.
She articulated her assurance that legislators will realize this objective through collaborative endeavors.
