The opposition is not going to be a tool for policy of the ruling Justice and Development party (AKP) towards solution of the Kurd problem in the country, Leader of the Turkish main opposition, Republican People's Party (CHP), Deniz Baykal believes, Turkish television channel CNN Turk reported.
"We, being the Turkish opposition, will be a tool for policy of the ruling Justice and Development party (AKP) towards solution of the Kurd problem of the country," Baykal said.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with leader of the pro-Kurdish Democratic Society Party (DTP), Ahmet Turk. Erdogan considered the meeting as positive saying that the Kurds problem will be solved soon. Turk considered the meeting as start of dialogue between the parties. Leader of the Turkish main opposition, Republican People's Party (CHP), Deniz Baykal considered this meeting as authorities' discussions with supporters of terrorism in the country. Baykal demands the authorities to express its opinion towards Kurds openly.
Turkish Interior Minister Beshir Atalay also met with Ahmet Turk on Aug. 13. Turkish President Abdullah Gul mentioned the necessity of rapid solution of the Kurd problem of the country.
The dialogue held with any pro-terrorist agency will lead the country to political crisis sooner or later, the leader of opposition added.
