BonAz startup project is a platform that allows receiving cashback after making online purchases that is, return a certain percentage of the paid amount, Program Manager of the SUP.VC center of Azerbaijan Tariyel Aghazade, told Trend.
“The whole procedure takes place automatically, no additional actions are required from the buyer. The goal of this project is to return part of the paid funds for transactions, goods or services carried out via internet,” said the program manager.
“Several years ago, we developed the Multibon project, which for the first time in Azerbaijan provided the opportunity to receive cashback offline outside the banking sector. With the development of technology, we decided to transform our services and by creating the BonAz project, we provided the opportunity to do this via the Internet. Such a system for the return of part of the money was also developed in Russia. Our citizens often made purchases on Russian platforms, which became the second reason for developing the project,” Azerbaijani IT expert Orkhan Ahmadli noted.
Starting from 2019, Azerbaijani customers also began to make purchases online on the Turkish market and now approximately 90 percent of them prefer to buy on Turkish platforms, the expert said.
"However, there was one leading cashback service on Turkish platforms at that time, and the negative side of this system was that the withdrawal of the funds for payment required an account in Turkish banks,” Ahmadli noted.
He added that at present, such giants as AliExpress, Amazon, eBay, iTunes, as well as various platforms of the Russian and Turkish markets are connected to the BonAz project, which allows the customer to receive cashback.
The uniqueness of this platform is in uniting markets of a number of countries such as China, Russia and Turkey into one common system, Ahmadli added.
