BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 2. In its latest report, TotalEnergies presented a mixed performance in its integrated LNG segment for 9M2024, Trend reports.
The company achieved a 9% increase in hydrocarbon production for LNG, reaching 485 kboe/d compared to 445 kboe/d during the same period in 2023.
Gas production for LNG rose by 10%, hitting 2,309 Mcf compared to 2,100 Mcf in 9M23, while liquids production edged up 2% year-on-year to 60 kb/d.
However, despite the production gains, TotalEnergies' overall LNG sales showed a decline, totaling 29 Mt for 9M24, down by 11% from 32.5 Mt in 9M23.
The reduction was primarily in sales from equity and third-party purchases, which decreased by 14% year-on-year, reaching 25.3 Mt, the producer explained. On a positive note, sales from the company’s equity production rose by 3%, totaling 11.6 Mt.
