KazMunayGas arm amazes with CHP plants' fuel oil supply volumes nationwide

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 10. KazMunayGas subsidiary Energy Group has announced the volume of fuel oil supply for Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plants throughout the country, Trend reports.

Energy Group, a subsidiary of KazMunayGas, has supplied more than 50,000 tons of fuel oil for CHP plants nationwide. This work is part of the heating season for 2024-2025. From September through December of this year, the total volume of supplied fuel oil will amount to 83,500 tons. 50,700 tons have already been delivered to the major cities and regions of the republic, and in December Energy Group will deliver another 32,800 tons.

According to official data from KazMunayGas, to date, fuel oil has been delivered to the Pavlodar (8,851 tons), Karaganda (10,252 tons), Ulytau (3,727 tons), North Kazakhstan (1,362 tons), East Kazakhstan (1,997 tons), Zhetysu (8,138 tons), Turkistan (2,901 tons), Zhambyl (6,339 tons), and Akmola (1,001 tons) regions, as well as to the cities of Astana (1,985 tons) and Almaty (4,158 tons).

The total volume of the company’s obligations for the current heating season is 147,500 tons, including 5,000 tons as an additional recommendation from the Ministry of Energy to fulfill the obligations of another resource holder.

To note, Energy Group, established in 2023, is a joint venture between the national company KazMunayGas (which holds 49 percent of the shares) and CNPC International in Kazakhstan (51 percent of the shares). Energy Group carries out the full cycle of petroleum product supply, starting with the acquisition of crude oil for processing at Kazakhstan’s refineries and the sale of finished petroleum products both domestically and abroad.
