Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of ArcelorMittal company Lakshmi Mittal, the Kazakh presidential press-service reported today.
"The parties have discussed state and prospects of metallurgy industry in Kazakhstan," the press-service reported.
Within the meeting Mittal has informed Nazarbayev on the priorities of the company's activity and investment plans in the near future.
The President has urged Mittal to increase social responsibility and improve working conditions in the company's factories in Kazakhstan.
ArcelorMittal is the world's leading steel and mining company. The company operates in 60 countries worldwide including Kazakhstan.
