Uzbekistan increased production of ethyl crude alcohol by 8.4 percent up to 4.419 million dal in January-September 2012 compared to 2011, the Uzbek State Statistics Committee said on Monday.
According to the committee, vodka and liqueur beverage production increased by 6.7 percent to 8.949 million dal, cognac by 31.3 percent to 74,600 dal, wine by 24.5 percent to 1.686 million dal, champagne by 39.7 percent to 57,500 dal since early year. Beer production dropped by 22.1 percent to 16.604 million dal in January-September 2012.
According to official statistics, in 2011 Uzbekistan increased production of ethyl crude alcohol by 3 per cent up to 5.455 million dal as compared to 2010, vodka and liqueur beverage production - by 5.6 percent up to 11.366 million dal, cognac - by 25 percent to 95,800 dal, wine - by 1.1 percent up to 2.117 million dal, champagne - by 1.5 percent up to 120,200 dal. Beer production fell by 7.2 per cent and hit 23.236 million dal.
