Azerbaijan participated at the first meeting of EUROSAI-ARABOSAI in Tunis, where discussions were held on the Privatization and its impact on the management of the state service. Azerbaijan was represented at the meeting by Deputy Chairman of the Accounting Chamber of Azerbaijan (ACA), Abbas Allahverdiyev, Head of the ACA Apparat, Rasim Hasanov and Chief Consultant of the same Department, Sanan Agakishiyev, Trend reports with reference to the ACA.
The meeting was also attended by the ARABOSAI Secretary General, first President of Auditor Court of Tunis, Faiz Kefi and head persons of INTOSAI, EUROSAI and ARABOSAI.
During the meeting, reports were delivered by the specialists from Morocco, Switzerland, Tunis, Egypt and Russian Federation regarding conception of the privatization, its legal and institutional aspects, state policy, audit of state property and service. Within the event, the Azerbaijan delegation held a number of unofficial meetings with Head Auditor of National Audit Office of Great Britain, Head of INTOSAI working group for privatization Jon Boron, Chairman of Russian Accounting Chamber Sergey Stepashin, Head of Accounting Court of Turkey Mehmet Damar, etc. Within the meetings, the delegates were received by the Prime Minister of Tunis, Mohammed Gannochi.
