BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 29. The STAR oil refinery, owned by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Türkiye, reduced diesel fuel production in June, Trend reports, citing the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
The EPDK's data shows that the refinery produced approximately 318.865 tons of diesel fuel in June 2024, marking a significant decrease compared to the same period last year.
Overall, EPDK notes a decline in diesel fuel output across all refineries in Türkiye, with the total production for the country falling to over 1.26 million tons in June, a 3 percent decrease from June 2023.
The STAR Refinery has been operational in Türkiye since October 2018 and has a processing capacity of up to 13 million tons of oil annually.
