Star Refinery commenced operations on October 19, 2018. It ensures the integration of refining and petrochemicals and represents the largest single-location real sector investment in Türkiye.
Since late 2024, the refinery's crude oil processing capacity has reached 13 million tons per year. In 2023, the utilization rate of production capacity stood at 117.1 percent. STAR Refinery produces various petroleum products, including diesel, naphtha, aviation fuel, and LPG, meeting approximately 18 percent of Türkiye’s demand for refined petroleum products in 2023. The refinery’s annual naphtha production almost fully meets Petkim’s raw material needs.
