The Kazakh government made some new appointments in the Kazakh National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna, the fund reported on Friday.
According to the government's decision, Kazakh Minister of Economic Development and Trade Bakytzhan Sagintayev was elected to the Board of Directors of Samruk-Kazyna.
Moreover, Deputy Head of Presidential Administration Bakhyt Sultanov, Deputy Prime Minister Kairat Kelimbetov and Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Isekeshev were reelected to the Samruk-Kazyna Board of Directors.
Corporate Secretary of Samruk-Kazyna Gabidulla Abdrakhimov was replaced by Head Prime-Minister's Office Erlan Koshanov.
National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna is a joint stock company in Kazakhstan, which wholly or partially owns many important companies in the country. The state is the only shareholder of the Fund. Samruk-Kazyna controls the assets worth $78 billion, or nearly 56 percent of Kazakh GDP.
