BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 7. Prospects for future cooperation were discussed between President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Vice President for Policy and Partnerships Mark Bowman, Trend reports via the press service of Tajikistan's President.
As part of Tajikistan's cooperation with EBRD, it was deemed important to raise more funds for the development of Tajikistan's private sector, expansion of economic activities, support of Tajik entrepreneurship.
In addition, during the meeting issues of the development of the country's financial system, attraction of financial resources and investments for the implementation of hydropower projects in Tajikistan were discussed.
So far, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has invested more than $850 million in 150 projects in Tajikistan, the implementation of which has a substantial impact on the country's economic development.
