ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, May 31. The 'Kerki' bread-baking enterprise in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan manufactured more than 2,000 tons of bread and bakery products from January through April this year, Trend reports.
According to official data, in April of this year alone, the company produced over 600 tons of bread and bakery products.
Thus, in the first quarter of 2024, the production figures of the 'Kerki' enterprise amounted to almost 1,400 tons.
Overall, the enterprise produced 6,321 tons of bread and bakery items in 2023, which is 2.2 times (3,551 tons) higher than projected. During the stipulated period, it manufactured products worth over 11.7 million Turkmen manat ($3.04 million).
Recently, Turkmenistan has experienced remarkable growth in the baking industry, driven by vigorous state efforts to advance agriculture.
The adoption of modern technology and infrastructure enhancements contributes to increased production capacity, improved product quality, and a broader range of bakery products.
