Uzbekistan's Saneg seeks to launch automotive oils in 2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 18. Uzbekistan's Saneg (the largest private oil and gas company) plans to launch a line of oils for passenger cars and commercial vehicles in the second half of 2024, Trend reports.

According to the company, the oils will be produced according to the latest requirements of automobile manufacturers. Saneg intends to sell these products both in the EU and Central Asian markets, including Uzbekistan.

Saneg seeks to launch the widest possible range of products under the Saneg brand in the future.

Earlier, the company started deliveries of SEG Motol Diesel 10W-40 and API CI-4/SL synthetic and semi-synthetic oils to Uzbekistan.

The synthetic and semi-synthetic oils are manufactured at Saneg's Italian plant in Bari.

Meanwhile, Saneg accounts for around 80 percent of Uzbekistan's oil production and approximately 22 percent of proven gas reserves. In 2022, the total volume of oil output was 586.4 tons, with 1.5 billion m3 of gas. The company employs more than 10,000 people in Karshi, Mubarek, Andijan, Navoi, and Ustyurt production facilities.
