BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. Iran's exports of non-oil products increased by 15 percent in value and 11.4 percent in weight during the seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through October 22, 2023), Iran's Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance and Director General of Customs Administration Mohammad Rezvanifar told reporters, Trend reported.
He said that this figure amounted to 88.7 million tons worth $32.5 billion during the reporting period.
Rezvanifar added that in the mentioned period, Iran exported products mainly worth $8.6 billion to China, $7.3 billion to Iraq, $4.2 billion to the UAE, $3.3 billion to Türkiye, $1.3 billion to Afghanistan, $1.2 billion to Pakistan, and $1.1 billion to India.
During the seven months, the aforementioned 7 countries accounted for 83 percent of the value and 82 percent of the weight of Iran's non-oil product exports, according to the customs official.
The deputy minister reported that Iran's trade turnover reached $99.7 billion during the reporting period.
To note, Iran has been making efforts to increase non-oil trade with neighboring countries in recent years.
