BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 8. Iran does not and will not accept any foreign mercenary, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said during a meeting with the residents of Qom, Trend reports.
He said that the Islamic Republic in Iran came to power at the cost of the blood of hundreds of thousands of people and will never retreat in the face of provocateurs.
Khamenei emphasized that on this basis, Iranian citizens and the Islamic Republic do not accept foreign mercenaries.
The Supreme Leader of Iran noted that Iranian citizens, during the victory of the Islamic Revolution, organized consecutive uprisings to overthrow and destroy the Pahlavi regime, which at that time was the worst government of the modern era.
Khamenei added that today Iran is stronger and more prepared in every respect. Currently, Iran cannot be compared to the Pahlavi era in terms of strength, as it is now even more powerful.
“Iran, relying on the support of its citizens, has protected its wealth and resources from Western countries. This issue concerns those countries,” he said.
