Iran is going to launch eight new cement factories by March, 2018 which will give it a production boost of 32,000 tons per day.
The new projects are designed to be staged in the provinces of Alborz, Bushehr, Ilam, Sistan-Baluchestan, Razavi Khorasan, Fars, and Khuzestan, IRNA news agency reported June 3.
Iran’s cement output stood at 57.9 million tons last fiscal year (which ended March 20).
Iran’s cement export in that year constituted 1.6 percent of the world market, giving the country the title of 7th biggest cement exporter.
