Iran's Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) said that the mining and mineral industries sector pursues a policy of supporting local manufacturing companies, the organization's official, Mohammad Sepehr said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
“Heavy Equipment Production Company (HEPCO) products and services are to be used," he said.
Sepehr added that IMIDRO held symposiums with large companies in the mining sector, to take advantage of the capacities of HEPCO.
Heavy Equipment Production Company (HEPCO) is an Iranian corporation that manufactures construction equipment, agricultural machinery, railroad cars, trucks, forklifts and the equipment of oil, gas, energy, metal and mining industries.
HEPCO is reportedly the largest heavy equipment manufacturer in the Middle East. The company has 1,500 employees with an annual production capacity of 4,800 units.
Hepco production line boasts advanced equipment including cutting tools, welding, milling machines. This capacity allows HEPCO to produce 2,500 units of various machinery and build 20,000 tons of steel structures per year.
Imidro Public Relations Department, quoting Khodadad Gharibpour, the CEO of IMIDRO announced that four separate memoranda of understanding will be signed by Mobarakeh, National Copper, Gol Gohar and Chadormelo companies with HEPCO.
"According to this memorandum, HEPCO is obliged to supply the equipment required by mining companies, as well as the spare parts for the mining production lines,” Gharibpour said.
The fifth tripartite memorandum will be signed between Iran Mining House, Mining Investment Insurance Fund and HEPCO.
