BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 19. The diesel production at Iran's Abadan Refinery has recently grown by four million liters per day, the refinery's CEO Fardin Rashedi told reporters, Trend reports.
He noted that, in connection with this, a new block has been commissioned at the refinery, and over the past three months, efforts have been made to improve the quality of diesel produced in accordance with Euro 5 standards.
Rashedi said that in the next 40 months, work will be carried out to enhance the quality across all production blocks of the refinery.
"To date, 1.2 billion euro has been spent on increasing the refinery's production capacity. As a result, in the future, the refinery's gasoline production will increase by 8-10 million liters per day," he added.
Abadan Refinery processes 400,000 barrels of crude oil daily. The refinery produces various products, including liquefied gas, gasoline, white oil, diesel, fuel oil, bitumen, solvents, sulfur, naphtha, and others.
