The Azerbaijani government will create the necessary conditions to help all political parties hold activities in the run-up to the parliamentary elections.
"If the activities are conducted according to law, then the government will create the necessary conditions to facilitate this process," Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Social and Political Department head Ali Hasanov told journalists today.
Parliamentary elections will be held in Azerbaijan in fall 2010. Previous elections were held in November 2005. The elections are held according to the majority system in Azerbaijan's 125 constituencies.
Some opposition parties are planning to hold campaign rallies.
The social and political situation in Azerbaijan is active in light of the upcoming elections, Hasanov said.
"Opposition, neutral and pro-governmental parties have seriously prepared for the elections," he added.
