Preparations are underway to hold an Azerbaijan-Turkey-Russia meeting, Turkish ambassador in Baku, Erkan Ozoral told reporters Nov. 7.
At the same time, another trilateral meeting is expected to be held by Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan, the ambassador added.
During a recent meeting with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Azerbaijan, Turkey and Russia could create a tripartite cooperation mechanism, and that Moscow and Ankara are positive about this mechanism.
Currently, there are several trilateral formats in the region such as Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey, Azerbaijan-Turkey-Iran and Turkey-Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan.
