The Chairman of the Party informed Trend that the Co-Rapporteurs of PACE (Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe), Andreas Herkel and Tony Lloyd, have met the leader of the opposition party Musavat Isa Gambar.
He said that during the meeting, issues on human rights, as well as the situation with democracy and election commissions were discussed. We discussed issues that were of a great interest to the Co-Rapporteurs, as well as a wide spectrum of issues which exist between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe. I commented on our position with regards to the formation of the Central Election Committee and the importance of the Central Election Committee on the basis of fairness, said Mr. Gambar.
The PACE Rapporteurs have also met with other political parties and leaders of the local NGOs.
