The contract on extradition between Azerbaijan and China was approved at the 24th session of the Permanent Committee of All Chinese Meeting of Popular Representatives, Trend reports with reference to Sinkhua.
The contract aims to assist in developing the co-operation in the legal sphere as well as the future development of bilateral co-operation. The Deputy Foreign Minister of People's Republic of China, Yan Szechi, stated at the meeting that relations between Azerbaijan and China are developing in a stable manner and political-economical co-operation is in force.
We appealed to Azerbaijan with a proposal of signing such an Agreement so as to create a legal basis for the co-operation of the two countries with regards to the court and more effectively the prevention of transnational crimes. Azerbaijan responded positively, the diplomat emphasized.
The Extradition Agreement between China and Azerbaijan was signed in March 2005 in Peking.
