Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 September / Trend corr. K.Zarbaliyeva / The Linguistics Institute of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences will make a final decision on My Struggle book, which was translated into the Azerbaijani language by the editor-in-chief of Khural newspaper.
Decision on this matter was made at hearings held in the Narimanov District Court on 23 September.
Avaz Zeynalli, the editor-in-chief, who is charged with Article 283 (instigation of national, racial or religious hostility) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code, is accused of sympathy to Hitler and his My Struggle book, which was published in the Azerbaijani language in 2004.
On 18 December in 2007 the Narimanov District Court decided to hold complex political, psychological and linguistic expertise to determine whether there is sympathy sense to Hitler in the translation of the book and sent the case to the Expertise Centre.
However, the Expertise Center returned back the book without giving final conclusion.
At a response, it was decided not to hold expertise due to lack of specialists at the Philosophy, Political and Legal Investigation Institute of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences and at the Nasimi Linguistics Institute.
On 23 September, the court made a decision to re-send the book to the expertise and hearings were postponed to an indefinite period.
Zeynalli translated and published Hitler's My Struggle book in the Azerbaijani language in November 2004. He was taken to the Central Criminality Enforcement Department of the Interior Ministry on 8 December in 2004 and a lawsuit was filed on him next day. The National Security Ministry annulled the case on 26 February in 2005. The lawsuit was resumed on 7 May in 2008.
On 5 October the National Security Ministry banned Zeynalli, the editor-in-chief of Khural newspaper, not to leave Baku. Zeynalli gave a written undertaking to the Central Investigation Department of the National Security Ministry not to leave the country.
