BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 24. The "Final" dance from the "Chitra" ballet by great Azerbaijani maestro Niyazi was performed for the first time in the U.S. at the concert, conducted by Farhad Khudiyev, Azerbaijani musician, director of the Texas Symphony Orchestra, living in the U.S., held at the Bates Recital Hall of the University of Texas in Austin, the State Committee on Work with Diaspora said, Trend reports.
This performance was met with great enthusiasm and caused applause. Selected pieces from Dmitri Shostakovich's 10th Symphony also pleased the audience.
Khudiyev's repertoire selection in the concert program once again demonstrated the power of music to transcend borders and unite cultures.
