BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. The average monthly nominal wage of hired workers in Azerbaijan grew from January through October 2022, the State Statistics Committee told Trend on December 19.
According to the committee, this indicator amounted to 827.9 manat ($487), up by 14.5 percent on annual basis.
The wage in the oil and gas sector equaled 3,409.2 manat ($2,005.4), and in the non-oil and gas sector – 778.5 manat ($457.9). The wages of employees of state-owned enterprises stood at 780.7 manat ($459.2), and those of private enterprises – 880.9 manat ($518.1).
The highest wages were recorded among workers in the mining sector, insurance and finance, information and communications fields, as well as in scientific and technical activities.
The income of the Azerbaijani population during the first 10 months of this year increased by 20.4 percent up to 56.86 billion manat ($33.45 billion), added the committee.
