BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. Azerbaijan's state budget recorded a surplus from January through March 2024, Trend reports.
According to Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee, the
country's state budget earnings exceeded 9.2 billion manat ($5.4
billion) in the reporting period of 2024, representing a 11.4
percent increase over the same period last year.
State budget expenditures totaled 8.4 billion manat ($4.9 billion),
which is 28.1 percent higher than the figure for the same period in
2023.
Thus, by the end of March 2024, the state budget had a surplus of
821.7 million manat ($483 million).
During the aforementioned time, Azerbaijan's nominal GDP was 29
billion manat ($17 billion).

To sum up, Azerbaijan's state budget revenues increased by 16 percent in 2023, reaching 35.5 billion manat ($20.8 billion). State budget expenditures reached 36.4 billion manat ($21.3 billion), which is 13.7 percent higher than from January through December 2022, and at the end of December 2023, the state budget had a deficit of 883.7 million manat ($519.5 million).
