ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 10. Kazakhstan is expected to produce around 2.01 million barrels per day (mb/d) of oil in 2025, according to a forecast from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), Trend reports.

The agency has slightly revised its 2025 forecast, lowering it by 0.01 mb/d from the previous month's estimate.

The oil production outlook for the end of 2024 remains unchanged at 1.92 mb/d.

For 2025, the EIA expects Kazakhstan's output to reach 2.02 mb/d in the first quarter and 2.03 mb/d in the second quarter. Production is projected to increase to 2.07 mb/d in the third quarter before dropping to 1.91 mb/d in the fourth.

Meanwhile, for 2023, the EIA estimates Kazakhstan's oil production at 1.96 mb/d.

From January through July 2024, Kazakhstan produced 44.9 million tons of crude oil. In 2023, the country’s total production reached 90 million tons, marking a 6.9 percent increase from 2022. Kazakhstan aims to produce 97.2 million tons by 2025, with plans to raise production to 104.8 million tons by 2029.
