BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 11. Kazakhstan is forecast to produce approximately 1.94 million barrels per day (mb/d) of oil in 2025, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), Trend reports.

The EIA has revised its previous oil production estimate for Kazakhstan downward by 0.04 mb/d compared to last month's assessment.

Despite the adjustment, production in 2025 is expected to grow by 0.04 mb/d from the projected 1.9 mb/d in 2024, which itself was revised down by 0.01 mb/d from earlier forecasts.

The EIA predicts that Kazakhstan’s oil output will stand at 1.91 mb/d in the first quarter of 2025, increase slightly to 1.94 mb/d in the second quarter, decrease to 1.93 mb/d in the third quarter, and rise again to 1.99 mb/d in the fourth quarter.

For 2023, the EIA estimated Kazakhstan’s oil production at 1.96 mb/d.
