ASTANA, Kazakhstan, February 5. The authorities of Kazakhstan intend to introduce additional excise taxes on gasoline and diesel fuel, Trend reports.
The Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan has submitted a draft government resolution for public discussion regarding the introduction of additional excise rates on fuel and lubricants in light of the cancellation of state price regulation.
"On introducing amendments to the Government Resolution of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 6, 2018, No. 173 ‘On approval of excise rates for gasoline (excluding aviation gasoline), diesel fuel, gasohol, benzene, naphtha, light hydrocarbon mixtures, and eco-friendly fuel,’" stated the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan.
Additionally, these additional excise taxes will only be applied if prices increase from their current levels.
