BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. The design and construction of towns, villages, and settlements in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan will be partially completed by 2026, the Service of Restoration, Construction, and Management in the Karabakh Economic Region told Trend.

The service is currently carrying out construction and reconstruction work in Azerbaijani territories liberated from Armenian occupation and will perform the function of management in subsequent periods.

"The reconstruction of Karabakh consists of several stages: clearing the territories from mines, designing settlements and residential areas, conducting state expertise, urban planning justification, and starting construction work. By 2026, construction work will be fully designed and partially started in the Karabakh economic region: one town and 12 villages in Aghdam, one town and 10 villages in Fuzuli, Hadrut settlement, as well as Tugh and Azykh villages and other adjacent villages in Khojavand," the service said.

The Service of Restoration, Construction, and Management in the Karabakh Economic Region was established by the decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on July 21, 2022.
