Uzbekistan, Tashkent, Dec. 27 / Trend D. Azizov /
The Uzbek President signed the Law on Amendments and Additions to legislative acts on state symbols, in particular, the laws of the state flag, national emblem and national anthem of the Republic.
One of the main innovations is to ban the use of symbols representing the images of state flag and emblem for commercial purposes to promote manufactured or sold goods, operations or services.
It is banned to include the elements of the state flag and emblem in the documents or advertising materials of the non-governmental organizations. Moreover, the symbols of non-state, non-commercial organizations must not be similar to the symbols of the state flag or emblem of the country.
The amendments to the laws also specify the cases of raising the national flag, placing the emblem and performing the national anthem.
