Iran 's unemployment rate has reduced to 11.1 percent during summer, ISNA reported quoting head of the Statistical Center of Iran Adel Azar as saying.
"The unemployment rate during the summer of current solar year (started on March 20, 2011) was 11.1 percent," he said.
The unemployment rate was 14.6 percent in the spring of current year.
He noted the statistics indicate the unemployment rate will continue declining in future.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad promised to create 2.5 million jobs and solve the unemployment problems by the end of solar year (end March 20, 2012).
The International Monetary Fund forecasted 2.5 percent economic growth amid an unemployment ratio of 15.3 percent in Iran in 2011.
Iran includes those working even an hour a week into the list of employed people. According to international standards, employed person should have minimum 48 work hours a week.
