More than $23 billion worth of non-oil goods were exported from Iran in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21), according to figures by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
56.6 million tons of non-oil commodities worth $23.1 billion were exported in the first six months of this year, registering a 13 percent rise compared to the same period last year, the figures showed, IRNA reported on October 7.
During the same period, Iran imported 16.2 million tons of goods, marking a 11.9 percent decline compared to the preceding year, the report said.
Last year, Iran imported over $22.1 billion worth of goods.
Iraq, India, and the UAE were among the major export destinations of Iranian goods.
