By Rashid Shirinov – Trend:

Kazakhstan is negotiating the conditions for the export of livestock products to Israel, Malaysia and South Korea, Prime Minister Askar Mamin said at a government meeting, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

He reminded that the government was tasked to increase exports of processed agricultural products at least 2.5 times.

"In this regard, it is necessary to ensure compliance with veterinary and phytosanitary safety requirements. In 2017, all regions of Kazakhstan received the status of FMD free zone. Conditions were agreed and restrictions on the export of livestock products to Iran, the UAE and Saudi Arabia were lifted," the prime minister said.

Mamin noted that Kazakhstan should become a reliable supplier of high-quality and environmentally friendly products.

"In this regard, I instruct the Ministry of Agriculture, together with the governors, to ensure a stable epizootic situation, to take special control of the record and movement of animals, conditions of storage and purchase of veterinary drugs, as well as timely vaccination," he said.

The prime minister also instructed to take organizational measures for the timely pest management on acreages.
