As many as 340 production facilities will be put into operation in 371 industrial parks of Iran by the end of the current Iranian year (until March 21, 2021), Trend reports citing Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO).
According to the report, a total of 278 trillion rials (about $6.62 billion) have been spent on these facilities and 18,500 people will be employed.
“Fifty facilities will be put into operation in the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) and as result 2,130 people will be employed,” the report said.
In addition, 31 facilities will be put into operation in the Tehran Province (northern Iran) and 2,190 people will be employed in these facilities, the report said.
According to the report, 31 facilities will be put into operation in the Golestan Province (northwestern Iran) and as a result, 742 people will be employed.
“In total, 158 trillion rials (about $3.76 billion) was spent on the facilities to be launched in Khuzestan Province, 30 trillion rials (about $714 million) in Razavi Khorasan Province (northwestern Iran) and 16 trillion rials (about $380 million) in Isfahan Province (central Iran),” the report said.
Of the facilities to be launched in Iran's industrial parks, 49 trillion rials (about $1.16 billion) worth of local investments, $645 million, 21 million euro and 1 million yuan worth of foreign investments were spent on three facilities. These facilities will be put into operation in Iran's Isfahan, Razavi Khorasan and Khuzestan provinces. About 7,930 people will be employed in these facilities, the report said.
According to the report, moreover, 401 renovation facilities will be launched in Iran's industrial parks. A total of 8.88 trillion rials (about $211 million) were spent on these facilities.
“The facilities to be launched in Iran's industrial parks are in the area of office buildings, firefighting and security facilities, bridges, water, gas and electricity lines, telecommunications, solar panel stations and others,” the report said.
There are 823 industrial parks in Iran. About 46,800 industrial enterprises operate in these industrial parks and more than 941,000 people work there.
