BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 13. The non-oil trade turnover between Iran and Türkiye increased by 3.3 percent in value and 23.1 percent in volume in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
Data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) shows that Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Türkiye was 7.8 million tons worth $6.5 billion during 7 months.
Meanwhile, in the same period of last Iranian year, the non-oil trade turnover stood at 6.35 million tons worth approximately $6.3 billion.
The main goods traded between the two countries were agricultural and food products, petrochemical products, industrial and mining products, various types of equipment, raw materials, cloth, etc.
Over the 7th month alone (September 23 through October 22, 2023), Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Türkiye amounted to 651,000 tons worth $759 million.
Overall, Iran’s non-oil trade with the world for the first seven months of this year was $64.4 billion, involving over 100 million tons of goods. This was an increase of 6.2 percent in value and 23.7 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
