The volume of gas exports in Kazakhstan amounted to 8.217 billion cubic meters in January-September, 2012, compared to 9.229 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2011, a source at the national dispatching department of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan told Trend.
In September, 2012, gas exports in the country amounted to 0.903 billion cubic meters compared to 1.011 billion cubic meters in September of last year. Thus, last month, 2012, exports of gas in the country amounted to 25.2 percent under production of 3.096 billion cubic meters.
Imports of gas in the country in January-September, 2012 amounted to 1.723 billion cubic meters compared to 3.679 billion during the same period of 2011. In September, 2012, imports of natural gas in the country amounted to 206 million cubic meters, which is 2.5 percent more than the previous month and 6.3 percent less than in September, 2011.
