During January-August 2006 the State Oil Company (not including joint ventures and operating companies) drilled 93,882m of wells, Trend reports with reference to SOCAR.
The depth of drilled production wells during the eight months made 92,497m and that of exploratory wells 1,385m.
During August alone deepening totaled 13,757m, 13,502m for production wells and 255m for exploratory wells.
